Eric Fejeran, Chair of the Whitman County Democrats, formally announces his run for Whitman County Auditor, “After a decade of Republican control, it is time for different representation in Colfax. I am running because I believe in the importance and power of government service and want to use that as a vehicle for positive change in Whitman County.”
At 28 years old, Eric will bring many different skills and new perspective to Colfax. The current Auditor, Eunice Coker, has served 3 terms after serving as county clerk beforehand. The Auditor’s office has been a sort of sore foot for the county. Whitman County has routinely failed external audits and experience yearly fall down during elections cycles. Eric says this ultimately falls down on leadership. “The duties of the Auditor are clearly defined in our RCWs. As an elected, official you not only have to have the technical skills to perform the job, but also the leadership skills to run the office.”
Eric is going to run his Auditor campaign with a clear and concise message. A few of his campaign messages will highlight
The need for increased transparency and communication between the Auditor’s office and municipalities of Whitman County.
A reexamination of our election processes with a GIS (Geographic Information System) as a basis for district boundaries.
Competitive compensation for everyone in the Whitman County Auditor’s Office.
Eric brings years of quality and process control experience to the Auditor’s race. He currently works at Zeppoz as a poker dealer and serves as vice president of the United Way of Pullman. Eric is also the elected chair of the Whitman County Democrats.
